Ever since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated by anything dealing with audio or video production.
First, of course, my interest began with standard televisions and stereos. This later developed into Hi-fi VCRs and surround sound. A bit after DVD replaced VHS and Dolby 5.1 (which is now old compared to DTS and beyond) kicked standard surround sound’s ass. Now, high-definition is at its fighting weight… ready for its turn to shake things up.
What’s the point? I like A/V stuff.
Got it? Good.
In addition to being an A/V geek… I also like to sing.
Add a double helping of crazy and stellar credit to the mix and you have an audio cocktail from Hell!

LOTS OF HOME RECORDING EQUIPMENT
That’s right! I can now happily announce that version 1.0 of my home recording studio is complete!
All equipment has been tested and explored. I’ve uncovered all the little idiosyncrasies that piss you off as you learn about your equipment and know how to deal with them.
Here is a quick visual overview of my studio gear. Click on any of the items to see a larger picture, read what it does, read why I bought it and how I intend to, or am currently, using it.
ONE PROBLEM… this is the FIRST post and I need to write all the good stuff I just told you about. In other words, there is nothing to click on yet…
So, stay tuned to Shoffyism… I have a lot of work ahead of me.
